4 Simple Steps

Step 1- Identify

• Identify your MP and their local constituency office contact details
• The link on the right can help identify your MP :

Step 2 - Arrange to meet

• Call your constituency office and arrange a meeting as soon as possible/convenient.

• Explain that you “want to discuss the Hewlett Packard Pension Campaign” and will follow-up your call with a briefing document.

• Create and send your own personal introductory cover note and use the HPPA briefing materials to get your MP up-to-speed.

• Let us know the name of your MP and your name by clicking on the red button right.

Step 3 – Meet and get the support of your MP to take action

• Explain your personal circumstances and why HPPA campaign important to you
• Provide any necessary context and historical perspective especially if MP has little knowledge and exposure to the issue
• Ask for commitment to our campaign by engaging with and writing to the people mentioned in briefing document, advocating support for a “Code of Ethical Practice” for the treatment of pre’97 pensioners as well as any other actions they think appropriate, like asking questions in the house, engaging with the All Party Parliamentary Group on Pensions and so on
• After meeting – send an appropriate “thank you” note
