We are holding a ‘drop-in’ session in Westminster for Members of Parliament on the 9th of September. This event is being held to press our case for justice for Pre-97 pensioners. In order to get as many of them as possible to the event we need our members to email his or her MP. The contents are detailed below and we recommend that you copy and paste this into an email along with your name and postal address.

Dear ___________,
Hewlett Packard Pensioners Association – Pre-97 Pension Justice ‘drop-in’ session.
As a member of the Pre-97 Pension Justice group, and, as one of your constituents, I would like to advise you of a ‘drop-in’ session we are holding in Portcullis House on the 9th of September (details below). This event was suggested by Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock MP Elaine Stewart.
It’s an informal gathering of Pre-97 pensioners to speak with Members of Parliament, members of the House of Lords, and civil servants to make our case for justice and discuss our view of resolution. No presentations, just human conversation, face to face. We may have a small number of remote access computers set up to connect with pensioners who cannot attend in person due to age/infirmity.
For clarity’s sake, pensioners who accrued their pension, or part of it, prior to 1997, do not automatically receive cost of living increases. For many of these pensioners life is becoming increasingly difficult as some companies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise amongst them, have only paid three increases in the last 23 years. In order to illustrate the difficulties facing these pensioners, we have set up a YouTube channel where they have posted short videos of their stories.
