HPPA and our alliance partners.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise and many other wealthy companies are refusing to pay discretionary increases to their pre-97 pensioners. We thought this was an HPE issue but have subsequently discovered that many other companies do the same thing. Effectively they hide behind the 1995 Legislation which says that it is not compulsory for companies to pay cost of living increases. Instead they should pay discretionary increases.

HPE promotes itself as “one of the world’s most ethical” companies.  HPE annual net income for 2023 was $2.025B, a 133.29% increase from 2022.

HPE’s chooses not to share their profits with their UK pensioners while sharing it with shareholders and executives.  We know that HPE is not alone. Our Alliance of Pre-97 pensioners total 13 companies that  behave in the same way.

We want the government to support us in our campaign for Pre 97 pension justice. The pension reforms underway must help deliver pension justice for Pre 97 pensioners and their survivors.

Thank you to every donor who has supported our campaign work. Your generosity has directly funded multiple  lobbying visits at Westmintser, allowing us to push for meaningful change for Pre-97 pensioners.

We still have ongoing costs to cover, and we expect to continue our lobbying efforts in the months ahead. Regular donations make a real difference and help us keep this work moving forward. Any continued support is genuinely appreciated and will be put to good use.
