Welcome to the HPPA Survey and Pension Modeller for ex-HP Pensioners. We have built a modeller that aims to understand and interpret and simulate the formula that calculates the percentage increase that is given to pensioners with pre-1997 pensionable service.
The guide provides important background and context and should be read before using the modeller and completing the survey. The survey asks for feedback on the modeller and the application of the formula (with the important proviso of course that the modeller is based on the right interpretation and application of the formula).
Disclaimer: Please do not use the modeller as a basis for any financial decision making. Because of the complexities of individual pensions the Modeller is purely an indicative guide. The results of the modeller are based on our interpretation of HPE’s rules.
The modeller is in the form of an excel spreadsheet which you can download by clicking on the button below. This is a new version of the Modeller as of 24/2/21 and we believe this to be compatible with Apple Numbers.
