Hewlett Packard Pension Association (HPPA) Constitution

The Pension Justice team will pursue the aims of the Association based on inputs from members. This will include representations to the Trustees, the Company and any other organisations which can assist the Association. The team will hold regular online meetings to review the status of current actions and priorities. The quorate team meeting (at least four members attending) is empowered to commit to proposed expenditure as described below.

- Achieve Pension Justice for Pre-97 Members:
- Advocate for fair and consistent increases in Pre-97 pensions to prevent ongoing devaluation.
- Seek reparation for the financial loss and erosion of pension value experienced by Pre-97 pension holders over past years.
- Secure Fair Treatment in Pension Buyout Arrangements:
- Ensure that any future pension buyout proposals recognise the need to protect the value of Pre-97 pensions and include measures to prevent further devaluation.
- Strengthen Alliances for Enhanced Advocacy:
- Form partnerships with other affected pension groups to amplify the campaign’s voice and influence government action.
- Foster Effective Engagement with Trustees and HPE:
- Maintain open, transparent dialogue with the Pension Trustees to ensure the intent of the scheme is delivered, and that the Trustees represent the interest of the members in its management of the plan, and its correspondence and negotiations with HPE.

- Secure a commitment for a minimum level of discretionary increase of 50% of RPI for Pre-97 pensions by December 2025.
- Reparation and Redress Objective:
- Advocate/Negotiate with the Trustees for financial reparation to address the historical loss in value of Pre-97 pensions, aiming for a compensatory adjustment.
- Buyout Protection Objective:
- Ensure that any proposed pension buyout arrangement includes guarantees to protect against devaluation of Pre-97 pensions, with explicit terms safeguarding member interests.
- Alliance Formation Objective:
- Strengthen and expand the existing coalition to present a united petition to the UK Government on Pre-97 pension issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement Objective:
- Hold regular meetings with Pension Trustees to present member concerns and track progress.

- Pensioners in payment, deferred pensioners, and current employees of the Hewlett-Packard Limited Retirement Benefits Plan (Digital section and HP section).

- Contribute ideas, provide feedback, and participate in HPPA campaigns and volunteering.
- Engage in activities such as contacting MPs and sharing campaign updates on social media, attending events
