Hello – this is just to say that I met my local Liberal MP, Danny Chambers today at a “surgery” to:-
- thank him for his help to date and
- to emphasise the importance of pursuing the Pre97 pensions travesty

Meet your own Local MP at their regular surgeries.
I believe it is well worth meeting your local MP in person to highlight our Pre-97 pension campaign. I recently met my Liberal MP, Danny Chambers, at one of his regular surgeries. Although I had already written to him several times and received supportive replies, including information passed on from the Pensions Minister, meeting face to face made the issue far more personal.
When I showed Danny a list of the large, profitable companies that are not paying pension inflation increases, he was genuinely surprised. Seeing the information in person seemed to have a much greater impact than letters or emails, which are often handled by MPs’ staff rather than the MP themselves.
I came away convinced that our meeting strengthened Danny’s commitment to supporting our campaign. I would encourage as many members as possible to arrange a meeting with their own MP to explain the issue personally and thank them for their help. It really can make a difference.
Many thanks,
Nick Bennett-Britton
