On the 21st May this year There was a debate in the Welsh Senedd on a lengthy motion calling for the UK government to implement the Ombudsman’s recommendations for WASPI women, Uprated pensions for Steel workers and extend the Miners Pension Scheme.
Although there isn’t specific mention of the pre-97 pension issue, this debate signals a growing & widening concern about injustice, the failure of past governments to deal with the injustice, and the responsibility of the current government to take action.
